Southwest volleyball notches 9th win
The Southwest volleyball team raised its win total to nine with recent victories over Purdy, Exeter and Hurley, bouncing back from a tough 5-set loss to Crane on Oct. 2.

Off to state!
The Cassville High School girls golf team has qualified for the Class 2 2023 Girls Golf State on Monday and Tuesday at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club in Joplin. The Lady Wildcats took second place in the Class 2, District 3 Tournament in Cassville on Monday with a team score of 406, 11 strokes behind winner Mt. Vernon. Only the top two team scores advance from districts to state. Senior Avery Chappell, pictured sinking a putt on hole No. 9, took second in the tournament with an 83. Madison Robertshaw, Gracie Harmon and Adelee Hendrix took 18th, 20th and 21st with scores of 106, 107 and 110, respectively, and Chaney Cox finished in 32nd with a score of 123.
