Arrest made after wreck near Fairview
A Wheaton woman was injured and a St. Louis man was arrested following a wreck at 4:58 p.m. on Highway 97, east of Route T, two miles west of Fairview.

Arts Council puts on colorful show

Students give back with dog toys
During the last week of summer school, Cassville students had a Community give back day. On Tuesday, June 21, students visited the Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary to spend time with the animals, walking them, reading to them and giving them treats.

Herrin Animal Hospital earns accreditation
The Herrin Animal Hospital has again achieved the highest level of veterinary excellence following a thorough evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Herrin Animal Hospital renewed its AAHA accreditation after a rigorous review of the hospital’s practice protocols, medical equipment, facility, and client service.

5 wrecks, 9 arrests over holiday
From July 1-4, there were five wrecks with injury in Barry County, and two of those results in arrests. According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two wrecks were on Friday, at the same place but different times, another was on Sunday and two were on Monday.

Cassville Pantry receives Ozarks Food Harvest grant
The Cassville Pantry recently received a $30,000 capacity building grant as part of the Ozarks Food Harvest’s $1 million investment in agency infrastructure in southwest Missouri. The grant funding will purchase a walk-in cooler, which will help increase perishable food storage capacity for fresh produce, dairy and meat products and assist the Pantry’s ability to feed food insecure families in Barry County.
