TroutFest on Saturday TroutFest is a community fair celebrating the relationship between the community of Cassville and Roaring River State Park. The fair, held at the Cassville Aquatic Center, kicks off the day at 7 a.m., Saturday with two races, the Trout Trot 5K and the Minnow Mile.
Purdy prepares for summer
As the school year came to a close last week, the Purdy School Board recapped the year’s successes and plans for the future. With the passage of the district’s to tax increase bond measure, school grounds will be buzzing with activity throughout the summer, with plans to improve the school entry ways with duel entry points to improve school safety, upgrades to the school’s kitchen and cafeteria, new pavement and more.

CCTA celebrates Cassville staff
Before leaving campus for summer break, the Cassville Community Teachers Association (CCTA) celebrated the end of the school year with its annual awards and recognition for Cassville staff. During the celebration, several staff members were recognized for their accomplishments. Becky Haynes was awarded Middle School/High School Teacher of the Year.
