Santa welcomes visitors at the Historic Bayless House

Denali falls from grace
Denali Water Solutions has fallen from grace with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR). In a letter dated November 29, the DNR ordered Denali Water Solutions (upon receipt of the letter) to immediately cease all land application of processed waste in the State of Missouri and to make preparations to empty its two, 17-million- gallon storage basins in southwest Missouri.
Couple arrested for Eagle Rock burglary
Two Cassville residents have been arrested for an alleged burglary in Eagle Rock where the victims of the crime held the perpetrators for Barry County deputies to arrive. Justin Taylor, 50, and Jacki Grubb, 38, both of Cassville, have each been charged with second-degree burglary for the alleged incident at a home on Highway E in Eagle Rock.
Sheriff’s Office seeking leads in firearms theft
The Barry County Sheriff’s Office is seeing information relating to a theft of multiple firearms from a local business. According to a press release from the Office, several pistols and AR-style rifles were stolen from Three Corners Firearms in Washburn on Nov.

As the holidays have arrived, Cassville Pantry is launching its annual fundraising campaign, 'Bless Your Neighbor's Table,' to ensure that no one in the Cassville community goes hungry during the Christmas season. Bike-rider struck by semi in Washburn
A Washburn man died on Nov. 29 in a bicycle-semi collision at 11:05 a.m. on Highway 37, south of Highway 90 in Washburn.
