Elementary Beta members compete at state
A total of 36 Elementary Beta members represented Cassville Intermediate School and competed in various events at the Missouri Beta Convention. Cassville club members earned five first-place awards and eight top-five awards. The following members received invitations to compete at the National Elementary Beta Convention in Nashville, Tenn., in June:

Barber becomes 1st CHS student to complete tech apprenticeship
Bentley Barber is the first Cassville High School student to complete the Registered Youth Apprenticeship program through the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship. Serving as a Technology Intern (IT Generalist), Bentley completed 2,000 hours of on-the-job training along with required coursework.

CHS jazz band earns top honors in competitive season
The Cassville High School Jazz Band is off to a strong start in its 2026 competitive season, earning top ratings and individual honors at multiple collegiate festivals across the region.

Purdy FBLA wins big at Crowder
Purdy FBLA students competed at the Crowder Business Contest on March 25 and had a very successful day, winning the Division II Sweepstakes for first time in over 10 years. Purdy also won team and individual events at the competition including firsts in computers apps, business communication, sales presentation, marketing, economics and general business.

Reuter lands Beta Club scholarship
Cassville High School senior Claire Reuter has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Missouri Beta Club Scholarship. The one-time, nonrenewable $1,500 scholarship will be applied toward her studies at Missouri State University.

A total of 41 Senior Beta members from Cassville competed in various events at the 2026 Missouri Senior Convention, held March 13-14 at the Branson Convention Center.

Junior Beta members compete at convention
A total of 32 Cassville Junior Beta members competed in various events at the 2026 Missouri Junior Convention at the Branson Convention Center on March 11-12. The following members received invitations to compete at National Junior Beta Convention in Nashville, Tenn., in June:

Board celebrated in recognition month
The Cassville School Board has been recognized as part of School Board Recognition Month.

Knowledge Bowl teams compete in Big 8
Cassville Middle School and High School Knowledge Bowl teams recently competed in the Big 8 Conference Tournament that was held at Monett High School. Both teams are led by Mrs. Lisa Reid, Knowledge Bowl Coach. The CHS team finished in second place. Freshmen Jonah Cupps earned second place individual overall and Hale Cox finished in 15th place individual overall. The CMS team earned a third-place finish, and San Junior placed second individual overall.
