Vehicle hits semi head-on northeast of Butterfield

Two Cassville residents were injured in a wreck at 10:57 a.m. on Feb. 9 on Highway U, six miles northeast of Butterfield.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 34-year-old male, of Cassville, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck head-on a 2016 Kenworth Tractor Trailer, being driven by a 65-year-old male, of Cassville.

The driver of the Chevrolet and a 28-year-old female passenger, of Cassville, each suffered minor injuries and were both transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

The driver of the Kenworth was not injured.

All involved were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
