Bicycle Repair and Ride on Sunday

A Bicycle Repair and Ride will be held on Sunday at the Aquatic Center Greenway Trail entrance from 2-4 p.m. Organizers will make minor bike repairs and show youth how to do it for themselves. At 4 p.m.. the event will conclude with a ride on the trail. Adults can ride along. The event is sponsored by the Cassville United Methodist Church.

VBS set at Roaring River Baptist

Roaring River Baptist Church on Highway 86 in Eagle Rock will host Magnified Vacation Bible School from July 30 to Aug 2. Times are 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, with a light dinner provided for children at 4:30 p.m. Saturday’s time is 9:30 a.m. to noon. Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society Open House and Meeting

The Bayless/Salyer House at the corner of 9th and Townsend will be open for visitors and tours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society will hold their meeting at 1 p.m., and all are invited to attend. Following will be a show and tell program. Attendees are invited to bring any old item, picture, story or memory of days long gone that they would like to share. Everyone is welcome.

Democratic Central Committee meeting

The Barry County Democratic Central Committee will meet on July 8 at 6 p.m. at the Cassville Branch Library, located at 301 W. 17th St.

Lawrence and Barry County Democratic Meeting

Lawrence and Barry County Democrats will meet at the Angus Branch Steakhouse in Monett on Thursday. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. Those wishing to eat should arrive by 5:30-5:45 p.m., with each responsible for their own meal expense. The guest speaker will be Alex Johnson, with “Respect Missouri Voters,” which is seeking a ballot initiative for 2026 that will prevent the Missouri Legislature from overturning ballot measures approved by Missouri voters. Amateur radio group to meet

Ozark Amateur Radio Society (OARS) will host its monthly meeting on July 12 at the Happy House Restaurant, located at 840 E US-60 in Monet. New members are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Zone 4 Mini Golf & More hosting events

Zone 4 Mini Golf & More will host The Next Generation Band on Saturday, with music starting at 7 p.m. A free will donation will be accepted, and proceeds benefit the band. Cassville Farmer’s Market open on Saturdays

Old Church Gallery Farmers’ Market now open

The Old Church Gallery Farmers’ Market runs every Thursday from 8-11 a.m., offering farm fresh produce, eggs, jellies, relishes, baked goods, cut flowers, handmade crafts and more. Cassville Senior Center hosting monthly dances

The Cassville Senior Center hosts a dance and potluck dinner with live music on the first Friday of every month. The July 4 dance has been canceled, and events will resume in August, with the next dance on Aug. 1. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the live music and dance is from 7-10 p.m. Admission is $10 and the Senior Center is located at 1111 Fair St. in Cassville. All ages are welcome, and there is no cost for children 18-and-under. There will be door prizes, refreshments, a 50-50 raffle and a potluck dinner at 8 p.m., and attendees are welcome to bring a dish. All proceeds go to the Senior Center.

Lessons offered before Seligman’s Saturday dances

The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. Seligman Bingo Night on first Tuesday of month

A Bingo Night will be held the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Seligman Chamber Event Center, located on Highway 37 north of the city. If at least 50 people attend, two train tickets will be raffled. In the case of bad weather, bingo will be postponed. The building is handicap accessible, and all ages are invited. Bingo cards are $1 per play, and there is no limit on plays. A variety of prizes, excluding cash, will be awarded. Sodas and water are available for $1 each. OATS Transit offers regular transportation services for the rural general public of any age, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. People may call the local OATS Transit office at 417-887-9272 or 800-770-6287 to schedule a ride or find out about services in the Barry County area. People may also visit the OATS website at oatstransit.org to view local schedules under “Bus Schedules,” then click on the county of service. OATS Transit is hiring drivers statewide to continue serving riders. Openings are listed on the OATS website. OATS offices will be closed and regular service will not be operating on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
