Buddy Bass winners named

39 boats participate in 46th annual event on Table Rock Lake

Oct. 5 marked the 46th Annual Homer Sloan Buddy Bass Tournament, a Shell Knob event on Table Rock Lake that has been bringing anglers together since 1980. 

Named in honor of one of its original organizers, Homer Sloan, this tournament stands as the longest-running, continuously held open bass tournament on Table Rock Lake.

This year, 39 boats participated, showcasing the true spirit of friendly rivalry among anglers of all skill levels, a Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce press release said.

Biggest Bass Winners:

4th – Bill and Steven Babler, 3.4 lbs.

3rd – Jason Coley, 3.6 lbs.

2nd – Aron and Scott Moore, 3.10 lbs.

1st – Terry Hutchison, 3.15 lbs.

Biggest Stringer Winners:

5th – Bill and Steven Babler, 5 fish, 10.14 lbs.

4th – Shane Boyd and Daniel Pueppke, 6 fish, 11.2 lbs.

3rd – Adam and Mason Gautney, 6 fish, 12.4 lbs.

2nd – Zach and Makela Williams, 6 fish, 13.14 lbs.

1st – Terry Hutchison and Jason Coley, 6 fish, 15.4 lbs.

“A huge thank you to the Coonrod and Maher families for all the time, work, and heart they put into making this tournament happen,” the Chamber release said. “You ran the whole show and did an incredible job — we appreciate you.”
