Barry County Prosecutor Amy Boxx has filed a motion to revoke the bond of a Washburn man facing multiple child sex crimes charges across three cases.
Wesley Roller, born in 1950, of Washburn, is charged with sodomy – victim less than 14 years old and first-degree sexual abuse in the first case; patronizing a sexual performance by a child, fourth-degree child molestation and misdemeanor second-degree sexual misconduct in the second case; and second-degree statutory sodomy and misdemeanor second-degree child molestation in the third case.
According to the bond condition order for charges in the third case, on which he was released on a $50,000 cash bond, Roller was prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Boxx said one of the victims in Roller’s cases contacted Det. Abby Parsons, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, informing her Roller had allegedly broken the condition.
“[Parsons] verified the information and provided us with a supplemental report and the Facebook screenshots.”
The screenshots are of a Facebook post on Aug. 1 showing Roller holding an infant while attending a public sporting event.
The motion to revoke Roller’s bond was filed on Monday, and a motion hearing was scheduled for Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. in Cole’s courtroom in Stone County.
Roller’s attorney, John Lewright, has filed a motion for continuance on Tuesday, as he has another unrelated hearing in Newton County at the same time.
A jury trial for all three of Roller’s cases is set for Feb. 23-25, 2026, in the courtroom of Judge David Cole in Stone County. The pre-trial conference is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2026.
Roller was arrested in January and posted $5,000 bonds in May for each of the first two cases. He was released from jail in July after posting a $50,000 cash bond in the third case.
