Delinquent tax sale upcoming

The office of Barry County Collector Skyler Bowman is preparing for the annual Barry County Real Estate Delinquent Tax Sale. Missouri law requires that land with three years of delinquent taxes sell on the fourth Monday of August each year. The first official publication of this sale appeared in the Cassville Democrat on July 13, and copies are available in the collector’s office. The tax sale listing can be viewed at www.barrycountycollector. com, which will be updated as parcels are paid. Assessor Sherry L. Smith said her office is preparing books that will contain all parcels up for auction this year. Anyone interested in purchasing can go to the Assessor’s or Collector’s offices or call 417-847-4589 or 417-847-2113.
