Coach V reaches 500 wins
Purdy and Cassville softball coach Lori Videmschek earned her 500th career high school softball coaching win, defeating Crane 11-1 on April 4. Videmschek was also inducted into the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame this year.

New head coach takes reins at Cassville
The Cassville baseball team opened its home account on March 27, with a new head coach and new turf field bringing an abundance of excitement to the long-established program. Shawn Trent, former assistant baseball coach and junior high softball coach, said the Wildcats had been chomping at the bit to take to the turf field.

6 returners battle for boys golf varsity spots
The Cassville boys golf team has yet to qualify a member to state since Isaac Dodson in 2018, a year after Wildcat Dylan Garner won the individual Class 3 title. This year’s club at Cassville hopes to bring the Wildcats back to state-level competition.
Trojans set high expectations
Southwest celebrated a historic district title on the hardwood in February, and the Trojan baseball players hope to deliver another trophy this year on the diamond. Derek Mann, Southwest baseball coach, said the team’s fall season was excellent preparation and setup for a season with a significant goal.
