Leslie Alan “Les” Lyons

yons Leslie Alan “Les” Lyons, 67, passed away on November 1, 2025, in Cassville, Mo.

He was born on December 2, 1957, in Springfield, Mo., the son of Gene and Sylvia (Pering) Lyons, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; three sons, Brian Lyons and his wife, Margaret, of Glendale, Mo; Chris Lyons and his wife, Tamara, of Cassville, Mo; and Nick Lyons and his wife, Jamie, of Cassville, Mo; six grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie Lyons and his wife, Judy; Steve Lyons and his wife, Marilyn; and Gary Lyons, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a host of friends.

He attended schools in Springfield and was a 1975 graduate of Hillcrest High School.

He attended Draughon Business College for a short time.

He was employed by Fasco Industries for over forty-six years, retiring in 2022.

He held sixteen U.S. patents during his engineering tenure.

He was a craftsman of making Native Americanstyle flutes.

This month, he would have celebrated thirty years of sobriety and was a sponsor to many other men, helping them live a richer life of sobriety. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Cassville.

Services were held at Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Lee Beck conducted the services. Burial was at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, Mo.
