Janice Peterson, 84, of Shell Knob, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at her home.

She was born on October 9, 1942, in Kansas City, Kan., to Clarence and Mary Milberger. 

Survivors include her loving husband Michael; two sons, Michael Peterson and his wife Tammy of Shawnee, Kan., and Jeff Peterson of Shell Knob, Mo.; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Whether she was tending to her garden, caring for her beloved rabbits, looking after her husband, or spending precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Janice was happiest when she was surrounded by the people and things she loved most.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 13, 2026, at 1:00 pm at White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Mo. with Pastor Bill Kenagy officiating.
