A Cassville woman died on Thursday in a wreck at 10:45 a.m. on Farm Road 2150, one mile north of Cassville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 39-yearold Cassville woman was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche westbound when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and trees, and overturned.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by Barry County Coroner Gary Swearingen at 12:36 p.m. She was transported to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

The woman was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.

This is the 91st fatality of 2025 for Troop D of the Patrol, which covers 18 counties in southwest Missouri.
