Gary Lewis Baxter, 63, of Monett, Mo. passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, Mo.

He was born February 11, 1960, in Lawrence, Kan., the son of Howard and Irene (Ray) Baxter, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Rita Mackin; five brothers, Larry Baxter, Jerry Baxter, John Baxter, George Baxter and Steve Baxter and three sisters, Dorothy Baxter Sigman, Flora Baxter Turkinpile and Arladene “Dede” Mace.

Survivors include three sons, Chadd Baxter and his wife Ashlee of Purdy, Mo., Christopher Baxter and his wife Jessica of Republic, Mo. and Zachary Baxter of Monett, Mo.; two sisters Sarah Baxter Hagebusch of Monett, Mo. and Mary Baxter Coy and her husband Tom of Pierce City, Mo. and eight grandchildren.

He attended school in Pierce City, Mo.. He was employed by Architectural Systems, Incorporated in Monett, Mo. as a fabricator for several years.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
