Ramona Jean Helker, 62, of Monett, Mo. passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at her home.

She was born March 31, 1961, in Groom, Texas the daughter of Jimmy and Cora La Verne (Barlow) Bivens.

Preceding her in death was her father, Jimmy Bivens and two brothers, Jay Bivens and Walter “Len” Schulz.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Helker and his wife Floretta of King George, Va.; one daughter, Jennifer Edwards and her husband Matt of Little Elm, Texas; nine grandchildren; her mother, Cora La Verne Key and step father Kenneth Key of Purdy, Mo., three sisters, Brenda Schulz of Joplin, Mo., Teresa Baker and her husband Charles of Joplin, Mo. and Sonia Derrick of Springfield, Mo. and special friend, Fairy Essary.

She grew up and attended school in Purdy, Mo., graduating from Purdy High School in 1979. She enjoyed her job as a waitress and bantering back and forth with her regular customers.

Visitation was held from Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Mike Geisert conducted the services.
