33-year-old from Golden being held on no bond

A Golden man has been arrested and charged with three felonies relating to alleged sex crimes.

Daniel Kazakevicius, 33, of Golden, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree rape and nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Det. Billy Forester, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, on Feb. 4, Forester interviewed the victim regarding an alleged sexual assault. The victim disclosed Kazakevicius had allegedly assaulted them multiple times while they were incapacitated and without the victim’s consent. The victim could not recall the exact dates, but later confirmed the alleged incidents occurred in December 2025 at Kazakevicius’ residence in Golden.

The victim stated during one incident, Kazakevicius allegedly ejaculated on them while they were asleep and recorded it on his cell phone. The victim said the ejaculate was still present when they awoke, and the incident happened without the victim’s consent.

The victim stated they were unsure what all Kazakevicius did while they were asleep, but noted they awoke numerous times to Kazakevicius recording or taking pictures while they ere asleep.

During a separate incident, the victim said they were intoxicated to the point of feeling sick when Kazakevicius said he wanted to engage in intercourse. The victim said they declined, but Kazakevicius engaged in intercourse with them anyway, without the victim’s consent. The victim said they pushed Kazakevicius away and escaped to the bathroom, telling him his actions were not OK and were without consent.

The victim said Kazakevicius replied saying he liked doing stuff like that, and the victim loved him, which made it consensual.

Due to Kazakevicius actions, the victim ended the relationship and filed for an order of protection, which was granted. Following that effort, Kazakevicius allegedly sent the victim multiple threatening emails, which the victim provided to Forester. 

The victim also revealed Kazakevicius had posted explicit photographs of the victim online, stating the photos were ones shared only with Kazakevicius during their relationship.

Through a subpoena, Forester requested the subscriber information from the online service for the username that posted the explicit images online. The agency returned a verified email address used by the subscriber to create the account.

The email address is the same allegedly used by Kazakevicius to send the threatening emails, one of which stated, “Bet you wish you didn’t burn this bridge. Bet you wish you had talked to me like a big girl and maybe I would have deleted these…More? Oh yea, I have plenty….”

Kazakevicius is being held in the Barry County jail on no bond. His warrant was issued on July 15, and he was booked into the jail the following day.

A disposition hearing has been held, and a bond hearing is set for Thursday at 9 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
