Man arrested for DWI after crash

2 teens injured in wreck west of Purdy

Two teenagers were injured and a Purdy man was arrested for DWI following a wreck at 9:20 p.m. on Friday on Route B, two miles west of Purdy.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 36-year-old male, of Purdy, was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 eastbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck head-on a westbound 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander, being driven by a 16-year-old male, of Purdy.

The 16-year-old male suffered moderate injuries, and a passenger, a 15-year-old female, of Purdy, suffered serious injuries. Both were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The driver of the Ford was uninjured.

All three individuals were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles were totaled.

At 9:45 p.m., Biak Cin, 36, of Purdy, was arrested for felony DWI – serious physical injury, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, causing a crash.

Cin is being held in the Barry County jail on a bond of $100,000, per the jail roster. A probable cause statement has yet to be filed on Casenet.
