Edward “Scott” Marbut, 65, of San Antonio, Texas passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his residence.

He was born July 13, 1960, in San Antiono, Texas, the son of Stanley Edward and Patsy Ann (Miller) Marbut.

Survivors include his sister, Pamela Lane of League City, Texas; one niece, and three nephews.

Preceding him in death was his father, Stanley Marbut and mother, Patsy “Pat” Marbut who passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 and his brother, Christy Lee Marbut.

He grew up and attended school in San Antonio, graduating from Oliver Wendall Holmes High School in 1978. He continued his education at Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas, earning an Associate Degree in Diesel Technology. He was employed by the United States Civil Service as a logistics specialist. He was of the Baptist faith.

Services were held Friday, July 3, 2026 at Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jason Mackey officiated. A private burial will be held at Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy, Missouri.
