Shannon Dwayne Bruton, age 56, of Cassville, Mo., passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home.

He was born on September 19, 1969, in Monett, Mo., to Joe Bruton and Donna Faye (Isley) McCloud. 

Survivors include his mother, Donna Faye McCloud of Cassville, Mo.; his life partner, Christine Tucker of Cassville, Mo.; his sons, Kylan Bruton of Purdy, Mo., and Lucas James and his wife, Rachel, of Exeter, Mo.; his daughter, Katelyn Adams of Purdy, Mo.; his sisters, Shawna Ellison of Exeter, Mo., and Jami Curry Bruton of Eagle Rock, Mo.; and his eight beloved grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Lisa LaDawn James in Cassville, Mo., and his father, Joe Bruton.

He worked as a machinist for several manufacturing companies in the area. He attended Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville.

A celebration of Shannon’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Mo.
