Rex Howard Eaton

Rex Howard Eaton, 90, of Jenkins, Mo. passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 in Delaware, Okla.

He was born June 30, 1935 in Kearney, Mo., the son of R.H. and Fannie Ann Elizabeth (Castle) Eaton, who preceded him in death. 

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Sue Dry in Durant; also his wife Ollie “Libby” Eaton, and brother, Chris Eaton.

Survivors include his sons, Bobby Eaton and wife Mitzi of Jenkins, Mo. and Loyd Eaton and wife Denise of Bartlesville, Okla.,; daughters, Tonya Lopp and husband Damon of Delaware, Okla. and Tara Tyler of McAlester, Okla.; sister, Barbara Podell of Penn.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and special friends, Jim and Mary Birdsong and Doug Fare.

He grew up in Pleasant Hill, Mo., where he attended school and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1953. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army. He was self-employed as a paint contractor and farmer. 

He was a member of Community Faith Church. 

Graveside services were held Friday, June 19, 2026 at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Rick Cooper and Doug Fare conducted the services.
