Cassville students presenting murder mystery

Get ready to solve a delicious crime paired with a delicious desert!

The Cassville High School Theater Production invites audiences to become the key witnesses in a hilarious and suspenseful production of the murder mystery comedy, “Cafe Murder.”

This unique play runs from Thursday and Friday at the Cassville Performing Arts Center and will feature audience participation, treats and plenty of laughs. The show begins at 6:30 p.m. both nights. Tickets, at a cost of $6 for adults and $4 for students, are available at the door and on the school district ebsite.

The story unfolds at a birthday celebration for Rosemary, a hypochondriac convinced she’s allergic to water, and her four eccentric sisters: a conservative banker, a hippie, a valley girl, and a trucker.

After irritating everyone in the restaurant with her antics, Rosemary disappears and is presumed murdered.

With a self-taught detective on the case, a passionate French chef, and a sarcastic waitstaff all under suspicion, it’s up to the audience to vote for the killer and solve the crime.

“Cafe Murder” is by Nathan Hartswick and produced in special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colo.
