dwards Ruth Ellen Edwards, 84, of Cassville, Mo., passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at her home.

She was born May 31, 1941, in Cato, Mo., the daughter of Elbert and Oma (Stockton) Thomas, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Edwards; brothers, Glenn Thomas, Henry Thomas, and Roy Snyder; sisters, Lottie Mae Thomas and Jerlene Broyles and step grandson, Cody Blankenship.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Blankenship and husband Freddie of Cato, Mo.; two grandsons, one step granddaughter; three great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She grew up in the Cato, Mo. area and attended Mountain Home School in Cato and Cassville High School in Cassville, Mo. She was employed by the Missouri Extension of Barry County, Mo. where she taught classes on cooking and gardening. Her faith was very strong.

Graveside services were held October 22, 2025 at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services.
