A Seligman man is facing a felony charge for alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile.

Thomas Hartwick, born 1992, of Seligman, is charged with second-degree statutory sodomy.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Det. Abby Parsons, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, on April 5, Deputy Derek Eden took a report of a possible sexual assault involving a juvenile under the age of 14.

On April 15, during a forensic interview, the victim disclosed Hartwick allegedly penetrated the victim with his fingers at a home in Barry County.

On May 7, in a post-Miranda interview, Hartwick denied the allegations, Parsons’ statement said.

A warrant has been issued for Hartwick’s arrest, with the bond set at $75,000, cash only.
