A Cassville man has been charged for alleged sexual misconduct with a child on multiple occasions.

Nathan Easley, born 1999, of Cassville, is charged with four counts of sexual misconduct involving a child under the age of 15.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Det. Billy Forester, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, on June 27, the Sheriff’s Office received a request to assist the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division with a reported sexual misconduct involving a child.

During the initial investigation, law enforcement recovered a note Easley had written wherein he allegedly confessed to molesting a child. Based on the findings, law enforcement scheduled an interview at the Child Advocacy Center on July 2.

During the interview, the victim disclosed being woken up from sleep by Easley, who then allegedly exposed himself while telling the victim to “look at it.”

The victim, less than 10 years of age, said this happened on four separate occasions, all of which caused discomfort.

Easley also has charges of first-degree domestic assault and third-degree domestic assault in Newton County Circuit Court for allegedly, while intoxicated, choking a victim to the point of passing out and striking another victim.

Easley is being held in the Barry County jail on a bond of $100,000, cash only.
