Judith Ann “Judi” Mathis, 85, of Seligman, Mo. went to sleep peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

She was born March 31, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Norma Humes, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Paul Mathis; daughter, Sue Mathis; sister, Susan Gail of Harriman, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Linda Chapman-Hovey of Nev.; one grandson; two great grandsons, and one great-great-grandson.

She was employed as a registered nurse at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark., from where she retired in 2007.

Prior to and following her retirement Judi worked 20 years as a volunteer librarian at the Bentonville Seventh-day Adventist School.

She was a member of Bentonville Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinders.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
