CHS Annual Alumni Dinner on May 24

The Cassville High School Annual Alumni Dinner will be held on May 24 from 5-8 p.m. at the performing arts center. Doors open at 5 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by a short meeting and program. The cost is $15 per person.

Senior Center hosting Roaring River outing

The Board of Directors of the Cassville Senior Center host its Spring 2025 Roaring River Outing on May 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can fish, walk, take pictures or just enjoy Roaring River State Park. A box lunch will be provided by the Cassville Senior Center with a suggested donation of $4. Transportation will be provided by Emmanuel Baptist Church. Fishing equipment will be provided, and there is no daily tag required for our group. Anglers must be 60 or older to sign up, and there is limited space to be included in the group. Applications can be picked up at the Cassville Senior Center and must be completed and dropped off by May 16. For more information, people may call 417-847-4510.

Zone 4 hosting magician

Zone 4 Mini Golf and More will host a Magic Show on May 17 at 7 p.m., featuring Carlos David. Admission is a free will donation.

Book signing at Shell Knob library

Shell Knob resident and historian Tom Koob will be at the Shell Knob Branch Library on May 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to sign copies of his newest book, “Shell Knob Missouri: A History of a Homeplace.” The book offers a history of the town of Shell Knob.

Antioch Cemetery meeting May 25

Washburn sets City-Wide Clean-Up date

The city of Washburn will host its City-Wide Clean-Up on regular pick-up days from May 19-23.

Purdy Road District meeting May 12

The Purdy Special Road District will meet on May 12 at 4 p.m. at the District Road Barn, located at 200 South 9th St. (Farm Road 1085).

Lego Club, potluck scheduled in Eagle Rock

The Eagle Rock Lego Club will meet on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Eagle Rock Community Center, located at 27824 Hwy. 86 in Eagle Rock. This is open to all ages. The Eagle Rock Community Association will hold its monthly potluck on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Community Center, with the theme, “Mexican.”

Old Church Gallery Farmers’ Market now open

The Old Church Gallery Farmers’ Market runs every Thursday from 8-11 a.m., offering farm fresh produce, eggs, jellies, relishes, baked goods, cut flowers, handmade crafts and more. The selection varies every week, so come early for the best choice. Old Church Gallery is located on Farm Road 1240 in Shell Knob and can be reached at 417-858-2510.

Wheaton Depot Museum open

Corinth Cemetery Association to meet

The Corinth Cemetery Association Annual Meeting will be held on May 15 at 6 p.m. at the Cemetery Shelter on State Highway AA.

Democratic Central Committee meeting May 13

The Barry County Democratic Central Committee will meet on May 13 at the Cassville Branch Library, located at 301 West 17th St. in Cassville.

Road Districts to meet

The Corsicana Special Road District will meet in regular session on May 13 at 7 p.m., and the Capps Creek Special Road District will meet in regular session on May 15 at noon. Both meetings are at the home of Garry and Pam Bartkoski, located at 5086 Farm Road 2057 in Monett. The public is welcome to attend.

Cassville Branch Library weekly events

The Cassville Branch Library will host the following events this week: Thursday, Steam Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics experiments), 3:30 p.m.; Friday, “Wreck This Journal” event for mental health awareness, ages 17+, preregistration required, contact the library for more information; Monday, Paint Class at 5:30 p.m., $5 fee, preregistration required; Tuesday, Storytime, 10 a.m.

Power of Pink schedules events

Power of Pink, a Wheaton-based non-profit organization with a focus on assisting people diagnosed with breast cancer, will hold its annual dinner and auction, as well as its walk and run, on Friday and Saturday. The annual dinner and auction will be held at the Wheaton High School gym, located at 116 McCall St., beginning at 6:30 p.m. The walk, run and auction will be held May 10 at the Wheaton city Park, beginning at 8 a.m. The timed run includes prizes to top finishers. Seligman Bingo Night on first Tuesday of month

A Bingo Night will be held the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Seligman Chamber Event Center, located on Highway 37 north of the city. If at least 50 people attend, two train tickets will be raffled. In the case of bad weather, bingo will be postponed. The building is handicap accessible, and all ages are invited. Bingo cards are $1 per play, and there is no limit on plays. A variety of prizes, excluding cash, will be awarded. Sodas and water are available for $1 each.
