Sept. 27, 1972 Jean Ray and Mike Timmons were named co-chairmen of the Youth for March of Dimes in Cassville and were charged with heading the activities schedule. Both were juniors at Cassville High School. Miss Sharon Remmick, a faculty ember, was slated to assist the young people in coordination and planning.

Bob Shuey of Shell Knob disposed of his televiusion sales and service busines sand re-joined his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gifford Shuey in Shuey’s Sport Spot. The younger Shuey was given charge of the service department for the Evinrude dealership.

Sept. 22, 1982 Donna Barker of Cassville was named the manager of Cassville’s Justin Boot Company outlet store in Cassville. She had been associated with the firm since it opened the facility in town. Assisting in the operation was William Gripka of Cassville.

Merle Rogers, a naturalist at Roaring River State Park, was one of two representatives of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources attending a national meeting in Wyalusing State Park in Wisconsin. The meeting, Midwest Natural Areas Workshop, included sessions covering programs for state agencies involved in natural resources.

Sept. 16, 1992 Nokes Realty of Cassville announced an office expansion in the four-way area southwest of Cassville. The 38×10 addition will provide additional office and conference spaces for the firm who’s brokers are Mr. and Mrs. Dave Nokes.

Two Nathans, Hinds and Colf, opened Nathan’s Gas and Service and First and Main in Cassville, assuming operations from Joe Dyer, the former operator. Noth Nathans are former employees of Nesbit Ford of Cassville.

Sales tax receipts by municipalities in Barry County for August were down in Cassville but up in a majority of towns making the collection.
