Cooper Dearing, son of Amy Hoyt and Kevin Dearing, of Monett, will be serving two years in the Utah Saratoga Springs Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “I’m going to do my best on my mission. I’m going off to further my relationship with Jesus Christ,” Dearing said. Dearing graduated from Monett High School in May 2026, where he participated in the robotics club, managed the boys’ swim team and had the lead role in the play, "The Giver."
