An Aurora woman was injured on Sunday in a wreck at 2 p.m. on Highway 39, a half-mile south of Jenkins.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Trevor Taylor, 31, of Aurora, was driving a 2012 Buick Enclave southbound when his vehicle attempted a turn and failed to yield to a northbound 1997 Ford F250, being driven by Derrick Smead, 29, of Seymour.

Neither Taylor nor Smead were injured but a passenger in Taylor’s vehicle, Alexandria Taylor, 28, of Aurora, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Aurora.

None of the individuals involved were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
