A Shell Knob man was injured on June 22 in a wreck at 7:25 p.m. on Farm Road 1230, one mile west of Shell Knob.

Cruise-In set for July 9 The Cassville Cruisers will host a Cruise-In on July 9 from 5 p.m. to dusk at the Barry County Museum, south of Cassville on Highway 112.

The Cassville City Council has voted to annex the property where the new county jail will be built, but not first without hearing concerns from nearby homeowners. The council voted unanimously to annex the 25.42-acre tract of land behind Baywash Carwash on Old Exeter Road, citing the ability to provide water and sewer service to the incoming jail and health department buildings, as well as expanding services to other areas, as a reason for the move.
