Cassville school kitchens win Silver Spoon Awards

Junior Beta Club attends state convention in Branson
On March 1 and 2, nearly 50 Cassville Junior Beta Club members attended the State Beta Club Conference at the Branson Convention Center. The 2022-23 school year is the inaugural year for the Cassville club.

Cassville FBLA molds next generation of entrepreneurs
FBLA recently held 8th Grade Entrepreneurship Day for Cassville Middle school eighth-graders. Students were encouraged to come up with an entrepreneurial idea, similar to Shark Tank. High School FBLA members led tables of eighth-graders who competed in both Poster and Commercial categories for their products. The winners received certificates and candy. Guest speaker Dr. Chad Johnson, local chiropractor, came to share his own experiences with starting a small business and being your own boss.

Miller earns Premier Distinction
The National Speech and Debate Association has announced that Cassville High School senior, Kalia Miller, has earned Premier Distinction recognition. Premier Distinction is the highest honor in the National Speech and Debate Association Honor Society (NSDA).
McCrackin named to Dean’s List
Madry Mccrackin of Cassville was named to the Fall 2022 Dean's List in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. Mccrackin joins nearly 2,500 additional Fulbright College students on the Fall 2022 Dean's List.

Wildcat FFA members attend district Greenhand Conference
More than 4,500 first-year FFA members from more than 350 Missouri High Schools had the opportunity to learn about being positive role models, learning to get involved, making sound choices, becoming active team members and making a positive difference in their lives, school and community at the annual Greenhand Motivational Conferences.

Hadlow gets scholarship
Cassville High School Senior Baseball player, Isaac Hadlow, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA).

Cassville receives grief grant
Cassville R-IV has been designated a “Grief-Sensitive School” by the New York Life Foundation, receiving a $2,000 Grief-Sensitive Schools Initiative grant in order to better support the mental health of grieving students who are facing trauma.
