50 years ago June 7, 1972 Four members of Cassville Future Farmers of America and their advisor John Ferguson will be going to our nation’s capitol this month to attend the FFA Leadership Conference. Members going are Mike Purdom, Max Henbest, Lynn Moore and Donald Cupps.

50 years ago May 24, 1972 Silver Leaf Benefit Club met this week to install new officers. Those installed were Wanda Peterson, president; Mary Francis Baker, vice president; Ida Blalack, secretary; and Louise Fisher, treasurer; and Sue Mitchell, corresponding secretary.

50 years ago May 17, 1972 Two Cassville High School grads will now become faculty members, according to Superintendent James Ford. In the home economics department, Ann Maloney will be filling the vacancy of Joan Biles, and in the music department, Charles Kellim will be replacing Billy Windes.
