Carl Daniel Lewis

Carl Daniel Lewis, 92, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Mo. Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Mo.
He was born May 6, 1934, in Oak Ridge, Mo., the son of Robert and Jewell (Painter) Lewis, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Ward Lewis and Ezra Lewis, and sisters, Martha Sinclair and Roberta Driver.
Survivors include his wife, Dimple M. Williams of Exeter, Mo.; several nieces and nephews, including Kathy, Linda, and Deb, as well as others whose care, support, and assistance meant so much to him and Dimple.
He attended school in Cassville, Mo., graduating from Cassville High School in 1952. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1957 during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver for 40 years until retiring from Phillips Industries in Clarksville, Texas. After retirement, he moved to Texarkana before returning to Cassville.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Clarksville, Texas, the Scottish Rite in Dallas, Texas, and the Hella Shriners in Dallas Texas.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Mo. Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Mo. for their outstanding care, kindness, and attention shown to him.
Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Garret Akin will conduct the services. A private burial will be held at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville, Mo.
