Dear Editor:

Why should the citizens of Washburn vote for a 1% tax for public safety when the Chief of police stated that the Washburn Police Department would be self-sufficient and the city already gets over $5,000 per month from taxes?

Also, why should the citizens of Washburn vote for a Road District Tax when they get nothing in return?
