Cassville Speech and Debate owns Big 8

Program puts up finalist in every event
The Cassville High School Speech and Debate team placed first in the Big 8 Conference Tournament the weekend of Jan. 30 at Nevada.
In addition to being named the Big 8 Champions, CHS student participants placed in finals in every event. Results included:
• Glandy Salas, District Champion in Original Oratory and 7th in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking
• Ayla Roberts, District Champion in Informative Speaking and 3rd in Original Oratory
• Kaid Williams, District Champion in Prose, 3rd in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking and 5th in Poetry
• David Rehbach, District Champion in Radio Speaking, 2nd in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking and 4th in Duet Acting with Gavin Koelher
• Sam Baugus, District Champion in Humorous Interpretation, 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation, and 3rd with Kobe Fare in Duet Acting
• Kim Hang, 2nd in Dramatic Interpretation, 2nd in Humorous Interpretation and 3rd with Amber Davis in Duo Interpretation
• Riley Doucet, 2nd in Prose and 6th in Storytelling
• Mason Rillstone, 3rd in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, 5th in Radio and 7th in Storytelling
• Gavin Koelher and Kobe Fare, 5th in Duo Interpretation
• Harlee Carter, 6th in Poetry
• Kinzie Davis, 7th in Informative Speaking
