Sheila (Stowman) Henderson

Sheila (Stowman) Henderson, 75, of Washburn, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on May 10, 1950, in Fairbanks, Alaska, Sheila was the daughter of Frank and Opal (Hurd) Stowman, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her brother, Jimmy Stowman.
Survivors include her beloved son, David Henderson, and his wife, Nicole, of Washburn, Mo.; her brother, John Stowman, and his wife, Stephanie, of Fairbanks, Alaska; and four grandchildren.
She grew up in Fairbanks and graduated from Lathrop High School. Furthering her education at Brigham Young University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She had a 30-year career with Elaine Baker & Associates Inc. as their lead designer. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a long-standing member of the Anchorage Concert Choir for more than three decades.
Services were held Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cassville, Mo. under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. President Brian Artherton conducted the services. Burial will take place at Northern Lights Memorial Park in Fairbanks, Alaska, in the spring.
