A Shell Knob woman was injured and subsequently arrested following a wreck at 6:15 p.m. on Highway 248, one mile east of Route C.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 22-yearold woman, of Shell Knob, was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco eastbound when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

The woman suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

She was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report, Peyton Chiasson, 22, of Shell Knob, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash, and no seat belt. She was released for medical care.
