Barbara Lee “Barb” Travis, 76, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at her home.

Born January 22, 1949, in Hill City, Kan., she was the daughter of Calvin and Phyllis (Kincaid) Hensley, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her brother, Stanley Hensley and sister, Beverly Rose.

Survivors include her husband Bernard Eugene “Gene” Travis, Jr., her son, Sean Travis and wife Jennifer of Broken Arrow, Okla., and brothers, Steven Hensley and wife Mary Ann of Spring Branch Texas and Calvin Hensley and wife Donna of Cassville, Mo.

She grew up and attended school in Lenora, Kan., graduating from Lenora High School before continuing her studies at Tulsa Community College, where she earned an associate degree. She was employed at Timco Machine Tool, Incorporated in Broken Arrow, Okla., as the general manager until her retirement in 2008. She and Gene moved to Cassville from Broken Arrow in 2008.

She was a member of Viola Victory Church.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
