Elizabeth Janna Stapleton, was called home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2026.

Elizabeth was born June 24, 1962 in Denver, CO to William Sr. and Martha VanTwuyver. Elizabeth grew up in the Washburn, MO area and is one of seven children.

She attended Missouri State University. She joined the Red Cross AFES serving several years and in several foreign countries. She was an ordained pastor and is very strong in her faith.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Alice Ann VanTwuyver, and brother-in-law Borie Fortune. She is survived by her son, Aaron Stapleton, Bentonville, AR. Also by her brothers and sisters: William VanTwuyver, Jr., wife Diane, Shell Knob, MO., Lewis Cooper, wife Pat, Violet Hill, AR., Nancy Fortune, Payette, ID., Martha “Marti” Miller, husband Steve, Prescott, KS., and Jan VanTwuyver, Washburn, MO.

The memories that Elizabeth created and the love she shared will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and loved.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
