Norma L. Hayward, 88, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at her home.

She was born February 19, 1938 in Cassville, Mo., the daughter of Clarance D. and Cora V. (Preddy) Saunders, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Bobby Wayne Hayward; brothers, Harold Saunders, Alfred Saunders, and Charles Saunders and sisters, Louise Skelton and June Bateman.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Hayward of Cassville, Mo. and Larry Hayward and wife Vickie of Republic, Mo.; brothers, Johnny Saunders and wife Janie of Washburn, Mo. and Verdayne Saunders and wife Gail of Republic, Mo.; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and special friends, Mitchell and Janice Allen of Cassville, Mo.

She attended school in Exeter, Mo., and graduated from Exeter High School with the Class of 1956. She was a devoted homemaker and a talented seamstress who made her son’s clothes for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Graveside services were held Friday, July 24, 2026 at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, Mo., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Laith Hayward conducted the services.
