Patsy Ann “Pat” Marbut

Patsy Ann “Pat” Marbut, 89, of Purdy, Mo. passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
She was born February 3, 1937 to Gladden and Gwendolyn (Henderson) Miller near Purdy, Mo., who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her spouse, Stanley Marbut; son, Christi Lee Marbut and Edward “Scott” Marbut who passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, and brother-in-law, Bill Roller.
Survivors included her daughter, Pamela Lane of League City, Texas; two grandchildren; two great grandsons; sisters, Betty Jo Francisco and husband Gene of Republic, Mo. and Peggy Roller of Purdy, Mo., and brother, Carl Miller and wife Pam of Monett, Mo.
She attended Purdy schools and graduated in 1955.
Her husband was in the United States Air Force and their first years were spent in San Antonio, Texas, Frankfort, Germany, and Fort Walton, Fla. In 1967 they moved back to San Antonio to make their home. She started her career with the United States Air Force as a GS-4 typist and retired as a Human Resources Specialist, GS-12 in 1991. After retirement they returned to Purdy to build a new home. She attended Arnhart Baptist Church, served as vice president and service officer for the National Association of Federal Retirees and treasurer of Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy.
Services were held Friday, July 3, 2026 at Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jason Mackey officiated. A private burial will be held at Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy, Mo.
