Vehicle recovered in Kansas after suspect allegedly attempted to sell

An Exeter man is charged with three felonies after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a Barry County business, arrested in Kansas after attempting to sell it.
Geremy Doss, 43, of Exeter, is charged with stealing ($25,000 or more), second-degree burglary and stealing a motor vehicle.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Det. Sgt. Abby Parsons, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, on May 28, the victim reported sometime through the night, someone had broken into his shop and stolen a 2005 Ford F150 truck and approximately $20 worth of change.
The truck as valued at $50,000 and contained tools and equipment valued at $53,762.
According to social media reports, the vehicle was a pump truck belonging to A One Pump Service.
Parsons made contact with a witness that said Doss showed up to her place of employment driving the allegedly stolen vehicle.
Parsons then went to a residence in Lawrence county associated with Doss and recovered multiple items allegedly stolen out of the truck.
The vehicle as later recovered by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas after Doss allegedly attempted to sell it.
According to an Ottawa County, Okla., arrest report, Doss was booked into the Ottawa County jail on May 29 at 5:36 am., charged with possession of paraphernalia, obstructing an officer and possession of methamphetamine.
Doss was arrested and booked into the Barry County jail on June 1 at 4:33 p.m. His bond is set at $50,000, cash only.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 9 at 1 p.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
Parsons also noted Doss is on probation for possession of a controlled substance.
