Mary Lou Bolton

Mary Lou Bolton, age 83, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 17, 1942 in Seymour, Missouri, the daughter of Luther and Mary (Cantrell) Hargus. On July 1, 1959 in Washburn, Missouri she was united in marriage to Johnnie Douglas Bolton, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2025. Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Connie Willis; brothers, Lawrence Hargus, Elston Hargus, Billy Hargus, and Clarence Hargus; sisters, Lorene Goss, Marie Henderson, Louis Hargus, Juanita Ensey, Jolene Stephens, and Dorothy Porter.
Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Noland and husband Dennis of Cassville, and Theresa Huesties and husband Jess of Rocky Comfort; son, Jeff Bolton and wife Michelle of Cassville; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Geraldine Fields of Exeter and brother, James Hargus and wife Gladys of Exeter and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou grew up and attended school in Exeter. She was a homemaker who found joy in caring for her home and tending to her flowers. Mary Lou and Johnnie would have celebrated their 67th anniversary this year. Their love was a testament to family and friends, wherever one was seen, the other was never far behind, one always helping the other. If you knew Mary Lou you knew she loved God and her family, she was truly a friend to everyone she met. She attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Billy Chesshir and Pastor Russell Bishop conducted the services. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.
