Gladys Mae Spiker-Kinser

Gladys Mae Spiker-Kinser, 83, of Goodman, Mo., formerly of Fairview, Mo., passed from this life Thursday, April 30, 2026 at her home.

She was born February 24, 1943 in Pikeville, Ky., the daughter of Freddie and Mary Ann (Ramsey) Hopkins, who preceded her in death. 

She was first united in marriage to Albert Mitchell, Sr., she then married Jerry Spiker, who passed away in 2009, she then was married to Warren Kinser until his death in 2015. 

Also preceding her in death were her; brothers, Vernon Hopkins and Kenneth Hopkins; sister, Jean Hopkins and fur babies, Sassy and Baby Girl.

Survivors include her son, Albert Mitchell, Jr., of Neosho; daughters, Robin Byrer and Timothy Tyler of Goodman, Patricia Zilm and Donald of Elkhart, Ind., and Evelyn Mitchell of Elkhart, Ind.; adopted daughters, Brandy Fisher and Josh of Fairview and Michelle Vick and Bobby of Wheaton; brother, Buddy Hopkins and Violet of Morganton, N. C.; sister, Peggy Birkner and Skip of Bella Vista, Ark.; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and Peanut, her fur baby that she loved dearly.

She was of the Baptist faith.

The family would like to thank Carey, Tara, and the entire staff of Compassus Hospice for the amazing care given to Gladys.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Stark City, Mo. Pastor Tony Intessimone will conduct the service. Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
