Teresa Ruth “Teri” Smith, 69, of Seligman, Mo. passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers.

She was born on December 18, 1956, in Sioux Falls, S. D., the daughter of Delbert and Wilma Irene (Bruton) Overman, who preceded her in death. 

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Russell Smith; brothers, Christopher Overman, Delbert Overman and Billy Scuddy and sister, Candace Overman.

Survivors include her wife, Catherine Brothers of Seligman, Mo.; sons, Rodney John Rasmussen and wife Jennifer of Fairview, Texas, Delbert Rasmussen and wife Kara of Fort Pierce, Fla. and stepson, Elijah Brothers of Aurora, Mo.; daughters, Trasa Boudreau and husband James of Washburn, Mo., Fawnya Wauters and husband Daniel of Fort Pierce, Fla. and stepdaughter, Joy Skelton and husband Jason of Seligman, Mo.; brothers, Kenneth Sharp of Seligman, Mo. and Bucky Barger and wife Tammy of Washburn, Mo.; sisters, Deborah Ball of Vista, Calif., Roxanne Robinette of Independence, Mo., Toni Tombleson of Independence, Mo., Tonya Sisco of Seligman, Mo., Brenda Rainey of Monett, Mo. and Fetina Havens of Cassville, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren with one on the way.

She lived most of her live in this area. She attended school in Washburn, graduating from Southwest High School. She was employed by Tyson Foods Incorporated as a lead person for over 20 years. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
