A Shell Knob woman is charged with three counts of felony stealing after allegedly taking a victim’s purse from a bathroom at a Cassville business.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Jesus Perez, officer with the Cassville Police Department, on Nov. 28, 2025, at about 2:34 p.m., police were dispatched to an address within the city limits of Cassville in reference to stealing.
Perez made contact with the victim, who stated she left her purse in the female restroom and went to exercise. The victim said there were only two females in the building at the time, including her and another female later identified as Williams.
The victim said she allegedly observed Williams enter the restroom, and when she returned, to retrieve her purse, it was not there.
A witness, who is employed at the location of the incident, said the victim and Williams were the only two females who went into the restroom.
The victim said two debit cards and a credit card were in the purse at the time of the alleged theft.
A notice of court hearing has been sent to Williams, and there is no warrant for arrest. The hearing is set for Feb. 26 at 8:30 .am. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
