Barry County Democratic Central Committee to meet

The Barry County Democratic Central Committee will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the El Mariachi Restaurant, located at 482 Hwy. 76 in Cassville.

Multiple road district meetings upcoming

The Purdy Special Road District will meet at 4 p.m. on Monday at the Purdy District Road Barn, located at 200 South 9th Street (Farm Road 1085). The Corsicana Special Road District will meet in regular session on Tuesday at 7 p.m., at the home of Garry and Pam Bartkoski, located at 5086 Farm Road 2057 in Monett. The public is welcome to attend. The Capps Creek Special Road District will meet in regular session on Thursday at the home of Garry and Pam Bartkoski, and again, the public is welcome to attend.

GoFundMe set up for Barry County deputy’s wife

A GoFundMe account has been set up on behalf of Barry County Deputy Ray Clevenger and his wife, Shawna, who is battling Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1, a rare and progressive neuromuscular disease. Between prolonged ICU care, long-term rehabilitation, constant travel and time away from work, the financial burden on the Clevengers has become immense. The GoFundMe has been created to help ease that burden so Ray can focus on being by Shawna’s side and supporting their children during this difficult time. Cassville Farmers’ Market open on Saturdays

The Cassville Farmers Market is open weekly on Saturdays on the Barry County Courthouse Square, from 8 a.m. to noon. Vendors are offering eggs, vegetables, hand-made crafts, baked goods and more. Those interested in becoming a vendor may contact Chad Sprinkle at 417-846-3539.

Wheaton Depot Museum to reopen in April

Lessons offered before Seligman’s Saturday dances

The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. There is a potluck, 50-50 drawing and door prizes. Free dance lessons will also be given from 5-6 p.m. For more information, people may call 479-903-3640.
