Cassville Community Christmas on Friday
The Cassville Community Collective will host the 3rd Annual Cassville Community Christmas Celebration on Friday at the Family Life Center from 5:30-8 p.m. This year’s event, which is free and open to the public, will feature live entertainment, holiday activities for all ages, festive displays and community involvement from local organizations, volunteers, and businesses. Families are invited to come together and enjoy an evening filled with Christmas spirit and small-town charm. “The Cassville Community Collective thanks the community for its continued support and looks forward to celebrating the holiday season with everyone,” a press release said.
‘Meet me at the Manger’ on Saturday
Before the Cassville Christmas Parade on Saturday, the Cassville United Methodist Church will host “Meet Me at the Manger” from 1-6 p.m. This event will include free hot chocolate and cookies and an exhibit featuring over 200 nativity scenes. Additionally, the nativity display will be open from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday through Dec. 22. The church is located at 601 Gravel St. in Cassville.
FUMC’s Christmas Card to Cassville on Dec. 14
All are invited to the Christmas Card to Cassville at 6 p.m. on Dec. 14 at the Cassville United Methodist Church, located at 601 Gravel Street. This annual free event will present an evening of music and celebration featuring various musical solos and ensembles, including the handbell choir. Refreshments will be served following the event. More than 200 nativity scenes will be available for viewing from 1-6 p.m.
Christmas Dinner at Senior Center on Dec. 19
The Cassville Senior Center, located at 1111 Fair Street in Cassville, is hosting its annual Christmas Dinner on Dec. 19 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be live music and a gift giveaway.
Radio Society hosting Christmas Dinner in Mt. Vernon
The Ozark Amateur Radio Society (OARS) will not be holding their regular monthly meeting in Monett. The Radio Club we will be hosting a members only Christmas Dinner on Saturday at 621 W Sloan Street in Mount Vernon. Members may bring a side dish. Purdy Road District to meet
The Purdy Special Road District will meet at 4 p.m. on Monday at the District Road Barn, located at 200 St. 9th St (Farm Road 1085).
Corsicana Road district meeting Tuesday
The Corsicana Special Road District will meet in regular session on Tuesday at 7 p.m., at the home of Garry and Pam Bartkoski, located at 5086 Farm Road 2057 in Monett. The public is welcome to attend.
SHINE Ozarks Homeschool Co-Op Expo on Dec. 11
The SHINE Ozarks Homeschool Co-Op Expo will be held on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Washburn First Baptist Church. The event will offer information about the Co-Op and how families may utilize it.

Santa and Friends event in Eagle Rock
The Eagle Rock Branch Library and Friends of the Library will host the Annual Santa and Friends event on Dec. 13 from 3-4 p.m. at the Eagle Rock Community Center, located at 27824 Hwy. 86. There will be cookies for children to decorate, crafts to make and a visit from Santa.
Lego Club to meet

Tree lighting at Eagle Rock Community Association
The Eagle Rock Community Association will host its third annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday at 6 p.m. at the ERCA Pavilion, located at 27824 Hwy. 86, kicking off the holiday season with the lighting of a Christmas tree, cocoa and snacks, along with a local choir for some musical enjoyment.
Cassville Farmers’ Market open on Saturdays
The Cassville Farmers Market is open weekly on Saturdays on the Barry County Courthouse Square, from 8 a.m. to noon. Vendors are offering eggs, vegetables, hand-made crafts, baked goods and more. Those interested in becoming a vendor may contact Chad Sprinkle at 417-846-3539.
Wheaton Depot Museum open

Lessons offered before Seligman’s Saturday dances
The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. There is a potluck, 50-50 drawing and door prizes. Free dance lessons will also be given from 5-6 p.m. For more information, people may call 479-903-3640.

OATS Transit offers regular transportation services for the rural general public of any age, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. People may call the local OATS Transit office at 417-887-9272 or 800-770-6287 to schedule a ride or find out about services in the Barry County area. People may also visit the OATS website at oatstransit.org to view local schedules under “Bus Schedules,” then click on the county of service. OATS Transit is hiring drivers statewide to continue serving riders. Openings are listed on the OATS website.
