SHINE Ozarks Homeschool Co-Op Expo on Dec. 11
The SHINE Ozarks Homeschool Co-Op Expo will be held on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Washburn First Baptist Church. The event will offer information about the Co-Op and how families may utilize it.
Cassville Branch Library events upcoming
The following events will be at the Cassville Branch Library soon: Dec. 2, Tot Time, 9:30 a.m., and Story Time, 10 a.m.; Dec. 4, Book Club, 6 p..m.; Dec. 5, Chicken Christmas Wreath, 5:30 p.m. (must pre-pay to participate); Dec. 6, Cookie, Cocoa and Claus, 9:30-11:30 a.m., and Crochet Club, 10 a.m. to noon; Dec. 8, Adult Painting with Erica, 5:30 p.m.; Dec. 9, Story Time, 10 a.m.
Seligman Bingo Night postponed to spring

Santa and Friends event in Eagle Rock
The Eagle Rock Branch Library and Friends of the Library will host the Annual Santa and Friends event on Dec. 13 from 3-4 p.m. at the Eagle Rock Community Center, located at 27824 Hwy. 86. There will be cookies for children to decorate, crafts to make and a visit from Santa.
Lego Club to meet
The Eagle Rock Lego Club will meet on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Eagle Rock Community Center, located at 27824 Hwy. 86. The club welcomes all.
Tree lighting at Eagle Rock Community Association
The Eagle Rock Community Association will host its third annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at the ERCA Pavilion, located at 27824 Hwy. 86, kicking off the holiday season with the lighting of a Christmas tree, cocoa and snacks, along with a local choir for some musical enjoyment.
Work days scheduled for Generations Project
A series of work days have been scheduled at the Generations Project facility, the former Barry County Jail, now dubbed the Andey Hunter Community Resource Center. Work will be on Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; as well as on Sundays, from noon to 5 p.m. Work may include cleaning, painting and other various chores.
Cassville Farmers’ Market open on Saturdays
The Cassville Farmers Market is open weekly on Saturdays on the Barry County Courthouse Square, from 8 a.m. to noon. Vendors are offering eggs, vegetables, hand-made crafts, baked goods and more. Those interested in becoming a vendor may contact Chad Sprinkle at 417-846-3539.
Wheaton Depot Museum open
The Wheaton Depot Museum is open from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays for individuals to come in and see exhibits. For more information, people may call 417-846-3146.
Lessons offered before Seligman’s Saturday dances
The Seligman Chamber of Commerce country dances at the Seligman Chamber Event Center are every Saturday from 7-10 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. Admission is $10 per person, and 18-and-under are free. There is a potluck, 50-50 drawing and door prizes. Free dance lessons will also be given from 5-6 p.m. For more information, people may call 479-903-3640.

OATS Transit offers regular transportation services for the rural general public of any age, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. People may call the local OATS Transit office at 417-887-9272 or 800-770-6287 to schedule a ride or find out about services in the Barry County area. People may also visit the OATS website at oatstransit.org to view local schedules under “Bus Schedules,” then click on the county of service. OATS Transit is hiring drivers statewide to continue serving riders. Openings are listed on the OATS website.
